Keep the launcher job small

Tinycast is a native SwiftUI and AppKit launcher for macOS. It opens apps, runs custom commands, stores searchable clipboard history, expands snippets, and can run Raycast extensions without bundling Node.js or a browser.

Move one hotkey or command you use every day and keep the rest of your launcher setup in place. A one-day side-by-side test will show whether Tinycast covers the job without making migration the experiment.

Check the install and permissions

The stable release installs through the project’s Homebrew tap. The build is self-signed, and the project recommends Homebrew because it clears the macOS quarantine flag during installation. Direct downloads need a manual quarantine command before macOS will open them.

Clipboard paste and snippet expansion need Accessibility permission. Snippets are disabled by default, and the project says matched keystrokes stay local. Grant the permission only if you need those features. Tinycast is licensed under AGPL-3.0.
